Don Sloper, a regent of Mount St. Mary\'s College and a walking tour docent for the Los Angeles Conservancy, has produced for Arcadia Publishing the first book-length account of the legendary gated enclave of oil baron Edward Doheny at Chester Place, now the campus of Mount St. Mary\'s College.
